President Trump Unloads on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene After "60 Minutes" Interview
In a scathing attack, President Trump has fired back at former ally Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, calling her a "traitor" and claiming she's "washed up." The outburst comes after Greene appeared in an interview with CBS News' Lesley Stahl on the 60 Minutes program, where she criticized Trump for not prioritizing domestic issues.
Greene, who has become one of the few Republicans willing to speak out against Trump, said he's forsaken his "America First" motto and that his comments about her have led to death threats against her. Trump responded with a Truth Social post, saying Greene "went bad" because she was "jilted" by him.
The former president also took aim at Stahl, CBS News, and the new ownership of Paramount, calling them out for allowing the show to air. He added that 60 Minutes has become "worse" since being purchased.
Greene, who voted with Trump 98% of the time before their relationship soured over records related to Jeffrey Epstein, said she thinks Trump failed to prioritize domestic issues and criticized his support of the crypto and pharmaceutical industries.
Her claims were reinforced when she received bomb threats on her house and direct death threats on her son, which she linked directly to Trump's comments. Greene told Stahl that she warned Trump, JD Vance, and others about the threats but didn't get a satisfactory response from him.
In response, Trump claimed he ran Greene out of Congress but she rejected this notion, saying "I will be no one's battered wife." Greene also sparked controversy during the interview when she sparred with Stahl over her language and behavior, claiming Stahl was being accusatory.
