'The only idea around': will Labour return to a customs union with the EU?

The custom union debate is getting more heated by the day and I'm low-key worried about what could go down if they actually join again 🤔💸 UK's economy is already struggling and a customs union might bring some relief but it would also mean Labour can't control their own trade policies which could be a total game changer for them. I think Starmer needs to decide soon whether he wants to take the leap or stick with his current stance, whatever that may be 🤯👀

I THINK LABOUR NEEDS TO GET ITS ACT TOGETHER ON THIS CUSTOMS UNION THING ASAP 🤯💸 THEY CAN'T KEEP GOING BACK AND FORTH LIKE THIS - EITHER YOU'RE IN OR YOU'RE OUT, RIGHT? 😂 IT'S BECOMING QUITE RIDICULOUS. STARMER NEEDS TO MAKE A DECISION ALREADY AND LEAD HIS PARTY. 2.2% GDP BOOST ISN'T BAD, BUT I GUESS IF WE'RE TALKING ABOUT GETTING PEOPLE BACK TO WORK AND ECONOMIC STABILITY, IT MIGHT JUST BE THE TICKET.

This is getting ridiculous 🤯. Labour's all over the place on the EU customs union thing. I mean, they're saying one thing but doing another. Keir Starmer's got his heart set on rejoining, but Nick Thomas-Symonds isn't having it without Starmer's explicit support? Come on, guys! Make a decision already 🙄.

And what's with the economic analysis that says joining the customs union will boost GDP by 2.2%? That sounds like something they'd feed us during the Brexit debates to keep us distracted 🤥. It's all just a bunch of spin and rhetoric at this point. We need concrete action, not more words.

I'm telling you, if Labour doesn't get its act together on this, we'll be in for a world of trouble 💸. The economy is already tanking, and they're too busy fighting among themselves to make any real progress. It's like they're playing politics with our future 🤷‍♂️.

omg i feel so bad for keir starmer 🤕 he's stuck between a rock and a hard place - his party is divided on EU customs union and he can't make up his mind 🤔 but at the same time, the country is struggling economically and ppl are calling out for change 💸 like, come on keir, what's it gonna be? 💯

the thing is 🤔, i kinda miss the idea of having a customs union with europe... back when labour was all about it, it seemed like they had a good plan in place... but now, with keir starmer at the helm, things have gotten so messy 🗑️. i get what he's saying about not wanting to make concessions on brexit policy, but 2.2% boost in gdp is not exactly something you can ignore 💸. and yeah, some of these trade policies are super complicated... but at least the eu customs union would give us a clear direction 🗺️. what i don't get is why they're being so divided on it... can't they just have a calm conversation about it for once? 😩
