Study finds slightly higher risk of autism diagnosis in areas with more lithium in drinking water, but experts say more research is needed | CNN

omg I was reading this study about lithium in water and autism 🤯 so like basically they found out that if u live in places with high levels of lithium in ur tap water, u r more likely 2 get diagnosed w/ autism 🚽 but experts are all "hold on, let's not jump 2 conclusions" 💁‍♀️ cuz they dont wanna be saying that drinking water is the sole reason for autism or anything 😅 and now theres this big debate about whether lithium exposure actually causes ASD or just happens 2 ppl w/ autism in areas w/ pollution 🌎 it's so complicated, I wish we had more info before making any decisions about public health policy 🤔

I'm not sure I totally buy into this study... I mean, think about it 🤔. Lithium is like, super beneficial for bipolar people, right? So if drinking water has lithium in it, that's gotta be good news, right? 🙄 But then you got all these other environmental toxins that are linked to autism, and it's like, what's the difference between a cause and an effect here? I don't wanna just jump on this bandwagon without more research being done. And let's not forget, everyone's body is different, so even if there is some link, it doesn't mean we can pinpoint it to one specific thing. We gotta take it with a grain of salt... or like, a whole bag of salt 🥅.

🤔 I mean, what's up with all these new studies linking water contaminants to autism? Like, I remember my cousin's kid had some issues with ADHD or something back in the day 📆 and we were like "oh, it's probably just the meds they're taking" 💊 but now it's like, is it the tap water? 😂 idk, maybe lithium is actually good for us or something? I've heard of people using it to treat depression or whatever. Anyway, it's always interesting to see these studies come out and raise more questions than answers 🤷‍♂️.

I'm kinda worried about this one... I mean, lithium in water is like something we've had for ages, right? And now it's linked to autism diagnosis? I get that the study was small and not conclusive, but still... what if this is some real thing we're missing? We should def be investigating further. It's also kinda scary when you think about how many people are exposed to lithium just from living in certain areas 🤯. But at the same time, we gotta be careful not to jump to conclusions or freak out unnecessarily 😅. This all sounds like a big mess to me...

omg this study is giving me major vibes 🤯 like what's the safe level of lithium we're talking? should we just start filtering water or something? 💧 i mean it's not all doom and gloom but at the same time how can we trust the findings when there's so much to consider? pollution, medication, genetics... it's all so entangled 🌪️
