Malinin lands seven quadruple jumps as US skaters win three golds at Grand Prix Final

πŸ€” so i was watching this video of ilia malinin skate and he landed seven quadruple jumps lol what is that even possible?? like how does his body not break or something πŸ™ˆ anyway he said he had to fight for every element on the ice which kinda makes me think of when i'm trying to finish a project at work and it's due in like two hours πŸ˜… but anyway congrats ilia malinin i guess? πŸŽ‰ what do you guys think about figure skating? is it still a thing?

OMG, I was just thinking about my cat's fur last night and how it gets all matted after a bath πŸˆπŸ’‡β€β™€οΈ. Anyway, back to figure skating... what's up with the new rules allowing Russian skaters to compete in the Olympics? It's like they're trying to create a more inclusive environment or something 😊. I mean, I'm happy for Russia and all, but it's kinda weird since it's not like their country has been totally frozen out of international events πŸ€”. On a related note, have you guys seen that adorable cat video from Japan that's just floating around the internet? It's so fluffy! 😍

omg i'm dyin over ilia malinin!!! 🀩🎯 he's literally the best skater ever! setting a record for 7 quadruple jumps is insane 😲 and his confidence is on another level after winning this grand prix final for the 3rd time in a row πŸ†πŸ’₯ i'm so hyped for him to compete at the milan cortina winter olympics πŸŽ‰πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

man I'm still reeling from this incredible display of athleticism and skill 🀯... but can we talk about what it says about our society that we're so obsessed with measuring the greatness of human beings through numbers and scores? like Ilia Malinin is an amazing skater, no doubt, but does his record-breaking performance really say anything about him as a person or a human being?

I mean, think about it... all those quadruple jumps, they just kind of blur together after a while, don't they? And the pressure to perform, the weight of expectation, it must be crushing at times. yet we're still willing to cheer and applaud and give him accolades for doing what comes naturally to him.

and what about the women's side? Alysa Liu's success is inspiring, but also a little concerning... she's not even 20 years old yet, and already she's feeling pressure to perform? it's like we're putting the burden of expectation on her shoulders way too early in her life.

anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that there's more to life than just winning and losing, right? can't we find a way to appreciate the beauty and complexity of human performance without having to measure it all with numbers and scores? πŸ€”

omg i cant even imagine doing 7 quadruple jumps lol 🀯πŸ’₯ ilia malinin is literally the most insane figure skater ever! his confidence and skill are on a whole other level, it's like he's defying gravity out there on the ice πŸ˜‚ i love how he credits his practice sessions for this record-breaking performance - it just goes to show that hard work really does pay off πŸ’ͺ what i find really interesting is that ilia only initially planned to do 6 quadruples but decided to go all out and push himself even further πŸ€”

anyway, malinin's victory has got to give him a huge boost of confidence heading into the milan cortina winter olympics - fingers crossed for an american medal! πŸ‘
