I think it's crazy that Exxon is trying to sue Cali for being too transparent about climate change 
. Like, what's the worst that could happen if we know how much CO2 they're spewing? Shouldn't they want people to be informed about their own emissions?
It's not like this is a new idea - other companies are already required to report their emissions and risks, so why does Exxon need to fight it? And what's with the "free speech" thing? They can say whatever they want in their annual reports, but at least they have to be honest about it now

I'm all for pulling back the curtain on greenwashing, like the supporters of these laws said. It's time for big corps like Exxon to take responsibility for their actions and stop trying to weasel out of transparency
. Maybe if they were more transparent, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place
