can't believe we're at 87+ lives lost in just a few months?! The whole thing stinks to me operation Southern Spear sounds like a fancy name for "we're gonna bomb anyone who looks suspicious" doesn't sound right to me... and what's with all these "foreign terror organizations" being thrown around? Sounds like a bunch of made-up excuses or don't they have better ways to deal with narco-trafficking than just blowing people up
I'm just so confused about all this... The US is basically saying they're doing this fight against narco-trafficking in Latin America to help keep people safe, but some people think it's kinda like a war zone over there and they're being super aggressive with these strikes. I mean, 4 people died in this one strike alone? That sounds really harsh to me...
And another thing that's got me wondering is if the US government has proof that these boats are even part of some kind of "foreign terror organization". Because from where I'm sitting, it just seems like a lot of people getting caught up in something they're not really sure about.
I wish we could just have an open and honest discussion about this without all the politicking and backroom deals... it's kinda hard to know what's going on when it's all so shrouded in secrecy.
Wow Interesting how the number of people killed in these strikes is piling up and no one's talking about when to draw the line here The 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force is pretty old news by now, shouldn't it be time for a new set of rules or something?
