The $500 billion beauty industry’s ‘green’ ambitions are a patchwork at best. And they’re falling short | CNN

🤯 u mean what's goin on w/ these companies tryna make themselves look eco-friendly but r really just wastin energy & resources? 🌎 i'm so done w/ "greenwash" marketing tricks. shouldn't we be gettin some real info about the products we buy instead of feel-good slogans & pretty packaging? 😒 l'oreal & estee lauder are like, literally dumpin plastic waste everywhere! how can we expect them to care when they're not even doin their part? 🤷‍♀️

🤕 honestly i dont think its fair that we need to be "advocating" and pushing for more sustainable changes when companies like sephora are already doing their part 🙌. its about time big corporations step up and take responsibility for their impact on the environment 💦. instead of making excuses about lacking standardization, they should be working together with governments and NGOs to create real change 🤝. and what's with all these "greenwashing" claims? can't we just expect companies to tell the truth about what's in our products? 🙄 it feels like a lot of talk, but not enough action 💸
