Detective on the case: Finding Molly Bish's killer, 25 years later.
A Massachusetts woman is desperate for leads in her sister's unsolved murder. The investigation has stalled since 1997, and she's turned to social media for help.
Erin Moriarty reports for "48 Hours".
Molly Bish was just a teenager when she disappeared from her Massachusetts home in 1997. Her body was found two days later in a nearby lake, with severe injuries.
The case went cold over the years, but Molly's sister, Jennifer, refuses to give up hope.
"I've been pleading for leads on my sister's murder for years," Jennifer said. "I just want someone to take this seriously and help us find out who did it."
Jennifer has been posting about her sister's case on TikTok, hoping that the younger generation can help crack the case.
"It's not just about finding Molly's killer; it's about bringing justice to our family," Jennifer said. "We deserve answers."
The investigation is ongoing, but so far, no one has come forward with new information.
Detectives say they're reviewing old evidence and looking into new leads, but it's a tough case.
"It's a very complex and challenging investigation," said Detective James McMahon. "But we'll keep working on it until we get the results we need."
Jennifer is grateful for the support of the community and law enforcement agencies.
"I just want to see justice served," she said.
As the investigation continues, Jennifer remains hopeful that her sister's killer will be caught.
"25 years may seem like a long time, but I know my sister would want us to keep fighting," Jennifer said. "And that's exactly what we're going to do."
