Syria’s al-Sharaa accuses Israel of ‘exporting crises’ across region

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa Accuses Israel of Exporting Regional Crises

In a scathing critique, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has accused Israeli leaders of actively stoking regional tensions to divert attention from their own alleged atrocities in Gaza. Speaking at the Doha Forum, al-Sharaa described Israel's actions as "exporting crises" across the region.

Israel has been conducting frequent air strikes and ground operations in Syria, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people. Al-Sharaa pointed out that since the fall of President Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024, Israel has carried out numerous attacks on Syrian territory, including a deadly airstrike last month that killed at least 13 people.

The Syrian president believes that Israel is trying to justify its military actions by invoking security concerns. "They justify everything, using their security concerns, and they take October 7 and extrapolate it to everything that is happening around them," al-Sharaa stated.

Israel has advanced deeper into Syrian territory, establishing numerous checkpoints and detaining Syrian citizens without proper authorization. Al-Sharaa demanded that Israel withdraw from the areas under its control and preserve the 1974 Disengagement Accord, which established a ceasefire following the October 1973 war.

Al-Sharaa also addressed the issue of unity in Syria, stating that progress has been made but there are ongoing challenges. The Syrian president emphasized the importance of pardoning factions and individuals to create a sustainable future for the country's people.

On women's rights, al-Sharaa expressed his commitment to empowering women under his rule, saying they enjoy protected rights and participate fully in government and parliament.

In conclusion, al-Sharaa stressed that Syria's path forward lies in strengthening institutions rather than consolidating individual power. He committed to conducting elections after the transition period ends, prioritizing the principle of people choosing their leaders.

I remember when we used to watch those newsreels about the Middle East and it was all about the Cold War 📺... now its all about Israel and Syria and I'm just thinking, what's going on? Al-Sharaa thinks Israel is exporting crises like they're little crisis management factories 😒. It sounds like a mess, if you ask me. And I don't know how far back they go with these checkpoints in Syrian territory... it sounds like Israel's got some serious issues to deal with.

idk why israel keep acting like they can just go around bombing ppl wherever they want? 🤯 it's like they think they're above international law or somethin. newsflash: just 'cause u got a powerful military don't mean u can do whatever u want & get away with it. Syria's right to defend itself, no doubt about it 💪 meanwhile israel just keep tryin to justify their aggression by playin the victim card 🙄 like they're the ones who are always bein attacked? please. Syria needs to stick up for itself & demand some accountability from israel 👊

🤔 I mean, it seems like Israel is just trying to shift attention from what they did in Gaza by doing stuff in Syria too? Like, can't they just own up to their own mistakes for once? 🙄 It's not that hard to admit when you're causing problems. And what's with all these checkpoints and detaining people without proper authorization? That's some shady stuff right there. 😒

I'm genuinely worried about what's happening between Israel and Syria 🤯. It feels like a never-ending cycle of violence and retaliation, with innocent civilians getting caught in the crossfire 💔. The fact that Israel is trying to justify its actions by using security concerns as a blanket excuse just doesn't sit right with me 😒. It's like they're using Syria's internal struggles as an opportunity to assert their own dominance over the region 🌎.

And let's not forget about the human cost – hundreds of people have lost their lives already, and that number could be so much higher if this conflict escalates further 💀. I also can't help but feel frustrated by Israel's actions in Syria, especially with regards to detaining Syrian citizens without proper authorization 🚫.

On a more positive note, it's heartening to hear President al-Sharaa's commitment to empowering women and preserving the 1974 Disengagement Accord 💪. However, I wish he'd also address the elephant in the room – the issue of unity among Syria's factions 😕. Until that happens, I'm not holding my breath for a lasting resolution to this conflict 🤔.

omg u no whats goin on in syria right now?? 😱 i was talkin 2 my ex last nite and he told me his cuz is from syria nd his cuz said that israel has been bombin syria left n right since bashar al assad got overthrown 🤯 its like they're tryin 2 control everythin 🚫 al sharaa just called out israel 4 doin it nd now israel's all like "security concerns" 🙄 lol what a cop out. i also dont think we know enough about the situation on the ground in syria rn. ppl r dyin left n right n no one's really talkin bout it 🤕 but al sharaa seems like a pretty cool dude who cares about ppl & wants 2 make things right 💕

idk how they can say those things about israel and expect ppl 2 b like "ok" 😐 its all about who's behind the scenes pulling strings 🤔 what if it's not just about security concerns? maybe there's more 2 it 💡 anyway, gotta give props 2 syria 4 speaking out against israel 🙌 but also think we should b lookin @ our own governments' actions in the region 👀

I dont get why Israel is acting like this 🤯. They're just making excuses for what they've done and it's getting out of control. First they're trying to justify air strikes in Syria, now they're claiming security concerns. It sounds like they're trying to deflect attention from their own actions, not take responsibility for the harm they've caused 😔. And whats with all these checkpoints? They're basically taking over parts of the country and holding people without a word 🚫. Al-Sharaa is right on track in saying that Israel needs to withdraw and respect Syria's borders 💪. The whole thing feels like a game of chess, but it's the everyday Syrians who are getting hurt 🤕. We need leaders who put people over politics, not just trying to consolidate power 💔.
