Is it true that … a glass of wine a day is good for your heart?

I don't usually comment but... I'm kinda surprised to see that the idea of having a daily glass of wine being good for your heart is being turned on its head. I mean, I've always been told that in moderation, wine is okay. But now I'm reading that even moderate drinking might not be as safe as we thought? It's like, what's the real deal here?

I think it's great that Dr Guttmann is saying that we should focus on a balanced lifestyle instead of relying on wine to fix everything. And yeah, I get it, foods rich in antioxidants like berries and grapes are probably a better choice for heart health benefits. But at the same time... I don't know, I've always enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner 😊

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this news is making me think twice about my own drinking habits. Maybe it's time to cut back on the daily glass and try some other ways to take care of my heart 🤔💖

I'm not surprised to hear that there's no level of alcohol consumption considered safe 🙃. I've seen friends get hooked on wine after a few glasses a day and end up developing issues with their liver and blood pressure. It's like my grandma used to say, "A little bit can't hurt"... but it always does when you start relying on it as a crutch 😅. Moderation is key, but it's hard to gauge what moderation looks like in today's world, especially with all the different types of wine out there 🍷. I think we need to focus on eating our veggies and whole grains instead of trying to find a quick fix in wine 🥗💚

🙄 I mean think about it, even if wine does have some minor benefits for your heart, is it really worth risking all those other terrible things that happen when you drink too much? Like Guttmann said, 20 small glasses per month is basically a daily habit and I just can't imagine how hard it's gonna be to stick to that. And what about the cost? All that money spent on wine could be going towards actual health food or supplements... anyway, sounds like they're telling us to just cut out the wine altogether and eat more berries instead 🍓

I don't think it's cool to be sipping wine every day expecting it's gonna save your heart 😒. I mean, it might give you some small benefits but what about all the negative stuff that comes with excessive drinking? Like, have you seen those lists of problems it can cause? Not worth it in my opinion 🤕. And btw, if you're relying on wine to balance out a bad diet or whatever, that's not a good plan 🍴. Eat healthy, exercise, and get enough sleep instead! 😊

🤔 I'm thinking, if wine is not safe even at all levels then why would people still be drinking daily? 🍷 Don't get me wrong, a glass or two with dinner sounds lovely but 20 small glasses a month? That's like drinking constantly! 😳 And what about those who don't drink much to begin with? Should they start just because they want a health boost? 🤷‍♀️ I think it's better to focus on eating more fruits, veggies and whole foods rather than relying on wine or any other substance for heart health benefits. 💚
